The Grange Institution (TGI) earned the Gold Award for Sustainable School of the Year at HoneyKids Asia’s Singapore Education Awards 2025. This achievement marks its fifth consecutive win for excellence in environmental education and sustainability.
The Grange is one of only two schools receiving the Gold Award this year. This award honours schools that showcase impactful green initiatives both locally and globally.
Building a Thriving Biodiversity Hub
TGI’s nature-inspired learning approach, combined with its lush 3-acre campus, offers diverse sustainable learning opportunities for students.
Their Green Granger Initiative has transformed its campus into a thriving biodiversity hub with over 100 documented species. Students actively engage in composting, urban farming, data collection, and experiments across five distinct zones.

Global Impact Through Tree Planting and SDG Commitment
Beyond the campus, the Grow With The Grange campaign has planted more than 150 trees in Sumatra and Zambia. Each tree is named after a student and tagged with a QR code for location and details. This initiative has offset 3.5 tons of CO₂, reduced coastal soil erosion, and strengthened community engagement while supporting multiple Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Back in March 2025, UNESCO invited The Grange Institution as one of only two international schools to launch World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development 2025 at its Paris headquarters. This prestigious event positioned TGI alongside global sustainability leaders and reinforced its dedication to Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4): Quality Education.

The Grange Institution celebrates its students and vibrant community and winning the Gold Award reflects TGI’s core belief – that sustainability is not just a concept but a way of life.
