Children from Kinderland Preschool @ Woodlands Civic Centre proudly took part in the fourth anniversary celebration of Stellar@TE2 on 15 July 2026. The year 2026 also marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Japan-Singapore diplomatic relations (SJ60). The event at Stellar@TE2 commemorated SJ60 and Singapore’s National Day.
Organised by Stellar SG-JP, the event celebrated the enduring friendship between Singapore and Japan through culture, education and community engagement.
The celebration was graced by Guest of Honour Mr Zaqy Mohamad, Senior Minister of State for Defence and Sustainability and the Environment, who delivered the opening address. His Excellency Hiroshi Ishikawa, Ambassador of Japan to Singapore, also spoke on the longstanding ties between both nations.
In conjunction with Singapore’s National Day celebrations, 18 Kindergarten 1 children presented a lively dance performance featuring a medley of four songs: 《相信我吧,新加坡!》, Munnaeru Vaalibaa, Home and Chan Mali Chan. Their performance celebrated Singapore’s multicultural heritage while showcasing confidence and teamwork.
The children delighted the audience and had the opportunity to greet Mr Zaqy and Ambassador Ishikawa during the celebration.

As a pioneer in music-infused early childhood education, Kinderland has long recognised the power of music in nurturing confident, creative and compassionate learners. Opportunities such as these allow children to express themselves, build confidence and develop an appreciation for different cultures, while connecting with the wider community.

The children’s energetic performance reflected Kinderland’s belief in nurturing confident children who are encouraged to express themselves and appreciate different cultures.
The event also highlighted Kinderland’s valued partnerships with government agencies and community stakeholders. Through such collaborations, children gain meaningful experiences beyond the classroom and learn values such as friendship, respect and inclusivity.

Guest of Honour Mr Zaqy Mohamad presented goodie bags to Kinderland children, who were delighted to meet him. They enjoyed being part of this special occasion that brought together families, educators, community partners and distinguished guests.
We are incredibly proud of our young performers from Kinderland Preschool @ Woodlands Civic Centre for representing Kinderland with enthusiasm and confidence. Their performance was a joyful celebration of Singapore’s multicultural identity, the enduring friendship between Singapore and Japan and Kinderland’s commitment to nurturing confident children through the power of music and movement.
