In August, the Singapore Consulate-General in Xiamen organized an open creative art competition on the topic “Impressions of Singapore”. Naturally, Kinderland Preschool @ Xiamen stood up to the plate with eager participation from many of our children and their parents. Our children took the chance to express what Singapore meant to them and put to paper their vision of Singapore’s unique features and scenery.

The Singapore Consulate-General put the 12 best works of the competition on display, and we are proud that five of them were from Kinderland. The Kinderland’s mission is to instil a global mindset in our children, and this achievement indicates our success in educating the next generation.

Singapore is familiar to children from Kinderland Preschool @ Xiamen through its international programme. Some children have also been to Singapore with their families. Under the guidance of our dedicated teachers, our children drew their impressions of Singapore and submitted more than a dozen artworks.

Singapore Consul General in Xiamen, Mr Nelson Ng, presented Singapore-designed prizes to our children. Our children greatly appreciated these mementoes, and those who had been to Singapore were fondly reminded of their trips.
