In recent years, KLC International Institute (KLCII) has been receiving more visitors from overseas as its reputation as a leading provider of government-recognised, professional training courses for preschool teachers continues to grow.
A group of 20 members from the Women Association of Returned Overseas Chinese in Macau visited KLCII in Singapore on 15 May 2019 to understand the learning needs of overseas Chinese students and to act as a bridge between China, Macau and Singapore.
The first stop for the visitors was KLCII Serangoon campus. They were met by Mr Chua Ying Hwee, KLCII Principal/General Manager and Dr Chen Shi, KLCII’s Vice Principal (Chinese Programmes). Dr Chen gave a short introduction to the organisation, its faculty and range of programmes for overseas Chinese students. In addition, they also learned about the living environment for the foreign Chinese student population here.
The group also had the opportunity to visit the two other members at the Crestar Education Group’s Kinderland Preschool at Yio Chu Kang and The Grange Institution, which are both also located in the same grounds.
Their visit opened the way for possible future collaboration in bridging the needs of overseas Chinese students with KLCII in Singapore.
