Hi-Po Grooming lands ECDA’s Promising Teacher Award 2021
She has been with Skool4Kidz for about two years and progressively groomed as a High Potential (Hi-Po) for the next generation of leadership and seniority. A senior teacher, Ms Krishanthi Vijaya made her mark as a high performing teacher and a mentor to her colleagues. Her drive and creative approach to nurture the children under her care has won her Singapore’s Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) Promising Early Childhood Teacher Award 2021!

Ms Krishanthi believes strongly in the philosophy inspiring each child to develop the love for learning more than feeding of facts and knowledge. “I aspire to empower our children to make choices without the fear of making ‘right or wrong’ decisions and be open to learning,” she affirms.

Ms Krishanthi adopts an eclectic approach in her teaching by intentionally planning purposeful and engaging activities that are relevant to the children’s daily lives. The preschoolers are guided to explore, discover and learn according to their individual learning styles.

“My philosophy as an educator is to inspire others’ learning by being a lifelong learner myself,’ Ms Krishanthi continues. “I strongly believe in continuous improvement and to keep on learning the new in the Early Childhood arena. I must continuously fine-tune my teaching methods to benefit the little ones entrusted to my care!”

Ms Krishanthi attends continuing professional development courses tailored for her by the company. On top of this, she also plans to further her studies to complete the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education.
