To drive greater propensity for innovation, some 100 principals and high potential staff from CEG preschools attended a new online workshop organised by KLC International Institute (KLC) in March 2021.

The 2-day Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme on “Small Step Innovation – The New Norm” was designed to equip participants with the knowledge and techniques to effectively lead, catalyse, and facilitate innovation through a  lean and agile approach.

The workshop was packed with sharing on recent  real case innovation followed by hands-on innovation action planning in the participants’ work context to increase the application level at work after the course.

Participants learned that big innovations can now happen through small steps with modern technology, empowering the modern worker with the ability to facilitate the necessary disruption for new businesses to emerge. This is applicable for the early childhood sector and the much-needed capability for SME transformation.

Areas of discussion in this workshop include Design Thinking, User Research, Gap Analysis, Honing Collective Imagination and Ideation, Adopting Lean Experimentation, and Rapid Prototyping & Storytelling.

Participants also enjoyed the many opportunities for interaction, idea-sharing and collaborative work. The course closed with case studies to hone application.
