The 4th cohort of the Beijing Normal University’s (BNU) Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education course received their degree at a KLCII graduation ceremony held at the Stephen Riady Auditorium @NTUC building in Marina Boulevard on 3 August 2019.
24 graduands received their recognition for the successful completion of their degree programme. The graduation ceremony was attended by 5 representatives from BNU led by Vice Principal, Mr Tu Qingyun. Representatives from Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Singapore also graced the Graduation ceremony.
The newly-graduated BNU degree holders brought the total number of students who have taken BNU’s diploma and undergraduate course to 638, since the cooperation between the University and KLCII in the 1990s.
One of the graduates who won the Best Student Award, Ms Peng Jun, said in her valedictory speech that she was grateful that her learning journey at KLCII had helped her to further deepen her understanding and knowledge of the various aspects of early childhood education, so that she could become a more effective practitioner.
“I will always remember the BNU motto of “Learn, so as to instruct others. Act, to serve as an example to all”, and use it to guide me in my career,” she added.
