Kinderland Xiamen Rallies Efforts and Donations for Xianhou Community Library

In 2019, Kinderland Preschool @ China, Xiamen raised a total of RMB17, 418, through an annual flea market. With the fund raised by our Principal and parents, Kinderland Xiamen set up the Kinderland Xiamen Community Fund as a member of the Fujian Province’s Student Aid and Poverty Relief Association. In collaboration with “The Bird’s Nest” (a public welfare organisation), a joint donation was contributed to the Xianhou Community Library project. To fuel the build-up of the community library, our kind-hearted children at Kinderland Xiamen also donated beautifully illustrated books. Kinderland’s teacher volunteered to help maintain the library and its activities to keep the community library running.

A year on, Kinderland’s teacher volunteers returned to the Xianhou Community Library with interesting English picture books for sharing. Our teachers stimulate the children’s interest in learning through listening, reading, and guessing games. Kinderland hopes to spread the joy of learning with the children through English picture books and improve their language learning ability through play. The children were delighted to receive gifts, harboured with love from Kinderland’s Principal Zhang.

The children of the Xianhou community thoroughly enjoyed the reading session with the teachers. The project has also gained confidence from the parents and members of the Xianhou Community Library. Community services opportunities are around us if we seek to participate actively in them. Kinderland believes kindness starts from within oneself, which sets our children’s foundation as global citizens. Kinderland continues to live by this motto to bring more warmth to our society.

Kinderland Preschool @ Xiamen was established in 2012 as a premier kindergarten with a music-infused curriculum. Residing on a space area of more than 6000sqm, the campus is well-equipped with 10 classrooms, including a music studio, art studio, multipurpose hall, computer lab and a library. The preschool is running on a full capacity with 270 children. The preschool has attained several awards with the latest recognition of a District Level Model Preschool in 2020.
